Welcome to the Illustrator's Corner
In 1991 Tomie dePaola successfully lobbied the board of the then Society of Children's Book Writers to officially include illustrators in the organization. The Society of Children's Book Writers became the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and programs and grants for illustrator members have been expanding ever since. Click on the links below for more information about some of the things we do just for illustrators. Check with your region for more illustrator-specific events and programs.
All SCBWI Illustrator members are eligible to enter their portfolio in the illustrator gallery. Each month we choose an illustrator from the gallery to be our featured illustrator.
Please keep in mind that this gallery is used by professionals in the Children’s Book Publisher industry. Please only post images that are appropriate for this marketplace. SCBWI retains the right to delete content that it deems inappropriate
To upload your portfolio, log in and click on the "My Portfolio" link on your member home page.
Once you've uploaded your illustration portfolio your name will appear in the Illustrator Search.
