Bio:

I'm an author/journalist/playwright/poet who has published picture books, middle grade novels, YA novels, poetry,and plays. I hold an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College, and I visit schools and speak at conferences both nationally and internationally. I was honored in England in March of 2012 with the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award, and my books for children have won many awards and honors. I love to speak at schools, libraries, writing workshops, and conferences!
