Bio:

David LaRochelle is the author or illustrator of over 25 books for young people. His titles include ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NOT (Sid Fleischman Humor Award), THE END illustrated by Richard Egielski (SCBWI Picture Book Text Golden Kite Honor Award), and THE BEST PET OF ALL illustrated by Hanako Wakiyama (BookSense Top Ten selection). His books have received starred reviews in Booklist, School Library Journal, Kirkus, and Publishers Weekly.

A former elementary teacher, David enjoys visiting dozens of schools each year to talk to students about writing and illustrating. He also loves to carve fancy pumpkins which you can view at his website www.davidlarochelle.net.
