Bio:

Megumi Lemons was born in Japan and grew up in Los Angeles, California.

She has had a passion for drawing for as long as she can remember. Her first drawing was a copy of a manga character that her sister had copied from a comic book. A copy of a copy! Reading has been another love for almost as long. As a child some of her favorite books were those with illustrations by Garth Williams. She still has old beat up copies of The Cricket in Times Square and Stuart Little.

After receiving a BFA in Illustration from the California State University in Long Beach, Megumi realized that her artwork was suited for children's illustration and began the journey that continues today.

Acrylics and acrylic gouache are her preferred mediums. Occasionally, colored pencils are thrown in the mix as well.
