Bio:

Lizette was born in Queens, New York and raised in South Florida. Liz is of Cuban origin. As a newspaper reporter and television producer, she has extensively covered the Hispanic community for the last 20 years. She has worked in WLTV Channel 23 Univision, El Nuevo Herald/The Miami Herald and WSCV Channel 51 Telemundo. She has freelanced for many national magazines including Highlights for Children. She prefers writing Middle Grade and YA Novels. She currently writes and illustrates. During the last six years, she licenses and sells paper goods and gifts for the Hispanic market under her own brand: Lantigua Designs. She lives in South Florida with her husband and three daughters.

Her first YA Novel, Mission Libertad, will be out this August 2012. It's a historical fiction, spy thriller novel published by Pauline Books & Media for their Teens collection!
