Bio:

Lois V. Harris is the children's author of three picture books: Mary Cassatt: Impressionist Painter, award-winning Charlie Russell: Tale-Telling Cowboy Artist, and Maxfield Parrish: Painter of Magical Make-Believe, and numerous children's magazine stories, articles. and the L.A. Times. She enjoys giving presentations at bookstores, libraries, museums,schools, and young authors conferences. Lois shares with the audience her writing and research process which may include a reading along with a colorful art slideshow. She writes to inspire children to follow their dreams. Lois lives in Anacortes, WA with her family, and when not writing, you might find Lois on her boat in the beautiful San Juan Islands searching for whales.
