Bio:

Michele Tennant-Carranza has been interested in writing and illustrating for children for more than a decade. In 1995 she joined the SCBWI and (back then) attended many regional conferences and three of SCBWI National conferences in LA. She holds a bachelors degree in visual communication with a focus on illustration from American InterContinental University.
Her writing illustrating career was put on hold when she relocated from Northern California to Costa Rica. Michele and her children lived there with her Costa Rican husband for seven years. The family returned in 2010 when Ms. Tennant-Carraza jumped right back into her life's pursuit as a children's book author.

Ms. Tennant- Carranza has several picture book stories on the back burner awaiting illustrations and is currently working on a dummy book and sample illustrations for Buttercup And The UFO. In the mean time Michele is submitting poems and short stories to the children's magazine market and preparing illustration samples to send to publishers.
