Wendi Silvano was a teacher for 11 years. She now writes picture books, early and emergent readers, magazine stories and articles and teacher resource books. Her writing awards include The Children's Choice Award, the EdPress Award for Exclellence in Children's Magazine Fiction, The IRA's Paul A. Witty Award, The Highlights Humor Contest, The Children's Writer Easy Reader Contest and the Smartwriter's Write-It-Now Competition (2nd place). Please see her website for specific book info.
