If you ask Monica Harris what she’s writing, you may get a variety of answers. She may be writing something educational to aid creative writing educators (Dot-to-Dot Stories). She may be diving into the realm of nonfiction with critters furry, squishy, or slimy (My First Book of Animals, Tarantula, Walking Stick, Paper Wasp, Black Widow, Tick). Or just possibly, she’s weaving a picture book story filled with dead people! (Wake the Dead) Monica Harris is a Michigan author and creative writing instructor who enjoys skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and strolling through cemeteries (seriously). Monica attended her first SCBWI event in 1995 and has been a member ever since!
