Bio:

Kristin Wolden Nitz is a middle grade author. Her first novel, DEFENDING IRENE, is set in Merano, a town in the Italian Tyrol where she lived for three years. SAVING THE GRIFFIN, is set in Tuscany. It was recently nominated for a 2009/10 Georgia Children’s Book award and a Kentucky Bluegrass Award (grades 3-5). SUSPECT, a YA mystery, will be coming out in October of 2010. She enjoys reading, writing, traveling, cross-country skiing, shooting hoops, playing the piano, and rescuing worms from her driveway. And these things, including the worm rescues, have all made it into her fiction and nonfiction.
