Bio:

After a childhood spent devouring books, I took the astonishing step of majoring in English. I went on to work briefly in publishing, then became a school teacher. After 14 years teaching for LAUSD, I moved to Utah, where I now write curriculum for a small education publisher. Of course, I manage to write children's books in my semi-free time, as well as a children's book review blog called Book Aunt. 2012 saw the publications of my 4th and 5th books: a collection of ocean poems, Water Sings Blue, and a retelling of a Grimms' story, Hans My Hedgehog. Another picture book, The Tooth Fairy Wars, is due out in Spring 2014.
