Nona Babcock

Bio:

I was born August 30, 1939, near Frederick, SD, to a farmer and a school teacher. As a teen, my family moved to Missoula, MT, where I met my late husband, Robert Babcock. We had three children, Mona, Lynn, and Robert, Jr.
After retiring from a thirty year career with U.S. Forest Service, I pursued my life-long ambition to write.
I have written many short stories, picture books, poetry, and four novels: a middle/upper grade, "Little Wolf's Adventure," subtitled, "A Medicine Dream and Warrior Ghosts," published by iUniverse, Dec. 2008 (which won the Editor's Choice Award); and two teen: "Grizzly Terror", "Terraplane 8", and a young adult Christian, historical fiction: "Seeds of New Life."
I have been published in The Verbal Equinox, a competitive writing journal at Weber State University, Ogden, UT; the Missoulian newspaper's web edition; and two anthologies by the Montana Writers' Guild: "Montana Voices" and "Holiday Voices". I am a member of SCBWI, and The Montana Writer's Guild. My website it www.nonababcock.com. Examples of my work may be read at: www.authorsden/nonacbabcock.com
I now live in Clinton, MT, with my life-partner, Darrel Fite, and our precocious dog, Mr. Dillon.
