Bio:

Lisa Wheeler began writing for children professionally in 1995 when she sold her first story to Humpty Dumpty magazine. Over sixteen years and thirty books later, Lisa is living her dream.

“I love the world of children’s books,” she says. “I love everything about it, even the smell!”

Lisa has won several awards in the course of her career, including the Texas Bluebonnet award, the Michigan Mitten Award, the Missouri Building Blocks award and most recently, the 2008 Theodore Seuss Geisel Honor.

Lisa currently lives in Michigan with her husband Glen and her elderly dog. Her two most recent titles are Dino-Basketball (CarolRhoda) and Spinster Goose: Twisted Rhymes for Naughty Children (Atheneum).
