Bio:
Dede Fox's writing spans many genres. Texas Christian University published her novel The Treasure in the Tiny Blue Tin, winner of the Eighth Sydney Taylor Manuscript Competition and later named a YA Honor Book by the Association of Jewish Libraries. Highlights for Children has published three of her non-fiction articles.She also wrote sections of Rand McNally’s Texas!Her short stories and poetry can be read in regional journals, most recently the 2013 Texas Poetry Calendar. Dede was twice a juried poet at the Houston Poetry Fest, and her poem "Chapultepec Park" won the Christina Sergeyevna Award at the Austin International Poetry Festival.In addition to conducting writing workshops in schools and libraries and being a teacher with with Houston's Writers in the Schools, Dede is the librarian at Collins Intermediate in The Woodlands, TX.
