Patricia Rogers Batey

Prior to becoming the Indiana RA, Patricia served as Assistant Regional Advisor for Indiana under the past two RAs. She is the recipient of an Individual Artists Grant, funded by the Indiana Arts Commission and The National Endowment for the Arts, to do research on a novel set in the early 20th Century. She received a scholarship to the Highlights Foundation Writer’s Workshop at Chautauqua, and subsequently was hired by Highlights to work on their web site, Highlightskids.com, moderating and answering children’s letters in Dear Highlights. Recently, Working Partners – a London based company that creates fiction for children – selected Patricia to write a new series. Patricia holds Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in dance, from Butler University. She is represented by Adams Literary.
