Bio:

Kristin Aker Howell teaches writing to teens and middle graders in Silicon Valley with the Society of Young Inklings. She earned her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. Kristin loves reading, writing, and discussing books with kids. She worked as an Elementary School Librarian and fourth and fifth grade teacher in the San Jose Unified School District, where literature was her favorite subject and her students once turned the entire classroom into a re-creation of The Phantom Tollbooth. Kristin is the Co-Regional Advisor for SCBWI San Francisco South.
