Bio:
Nellie Burke Maulsby taught biology at Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) for many years before retiring in 2005. She has written mystery, romance, and contemporary fiction, but she focuses mainly on science fiction. Her middle-grade novels, all unpublished, include Wings to Fly, about a teenaged boy obsessed with flying, The Earth Effect, about a family stranded in space, The Alien in My Hair, about a lonely boy abducted and befriended by a tiny alien spaceship, and Just Call Me Kat, about a girl who turns into a cat and saves a planet.
