Bio:

Debbie Vilardi is making writing a career. She writes fiction from picture books to young adult novels and adult short stories. Debbie is also the author of poems, personal essays and material for teachers.

Debbie is seeking freelance assignments as an author and editor. She has prior experience editing for PGC Edutainment and writes lesson plans for Gryphon House. She became Teachers' Guide Writer for Cobblestone magazine in July, 2011. Her article "Escaping the Synopsis Maze" is in the January/February 2013 issue of the SCBWI Bulletin and her poem "Wave of the Future" is in the inaugural issue of Spellbound. Debbie's first publication for children was a picture book for emergent readers learning English in Korea, Animal Hospital (Unibooks, 2008). She is working on other projects for Unibooks.

Debbie resides in Commack, New York with her husband and two children, who inspire many of her stories.
