Bio:
Susan Rosson Spain is a native of Maryland, but has lived in the Atlanta area for over thirty years. Her first novel, THE DEEP CUT, was published in 2006. A civil war novel for children 10 and up, THE DEEP CUT garnered a starred review in Booklist, a publication of the American Library Association. Her second book, geared for younger children, is entitled 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS IN GEORGIA, and was released in the fall of 2010. A book tour with illustrator Elizabeth Dulemba took the two all over the state and included such venues as the HIGH MUSEUM OF ART and HARTSFIELD-JACKSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
Susan has recently finished a contemporary young adult novel entitled VEGAN RULES, set in a world she loves--scuba diving. It is now undergoing revisions for MacMillan.
Susan also serves her Southern Breeze region of SCBWI as PAL (Published and Listed) Coordinator, seeking out venues and events for SCBWI member participation.
