Bio:

Barbara Kanninen has published a number of stories, poems, articles, and books for children in the educational, trade, and magazine markets. She has worked for educational companies such as MacMillan-McGraw Hill, Core Knowledge Foundation, and Kaeden Books. Her first picture book, A STORY WITH PICTURES (Holiday House 2007), received a starred review in Publishers Weekly and was deemed a "Picture Book We Admire" by the Children's Literature Foundation. She has another picture book, CIRCLE ROLLS, forthcoming in 2012 with Henry Holt and Co. Barbara has been an active member of the Mid-Atlantic SCBWI for more than 10 years and is a frequent speaker at children's book events.
