Rosanne Parry

Bio:

Rosanne Parry is a part-time teacher and full-time mother who writes novels and picture books.

Her first novel, Heart of a Shepherd, from Random House was a best book of the year from Kirkus Reviews and from the Washington Post. It was on the Horn Book fanfare list. She was chosen as a Flying Start author by Publishers Weekly. Heart of a Shepherd was honored with the 2010 Rodda Award from the Church and Synagogue Library Association, and the Oregon Spirit Book Award by the Oregon Council of Teachers of English.

Her novel Second Fiddle is new in 2011 and was on the spring Indy Next list. It has been included on the Mock Newbery List at Anderson's Bookshop.

Her picture book, Daddy's Home, is from Candy Cane Press. She lives in Portland, Oregon and writes in a tree house in her back yard.
