Bio:

Joni grew up in Spanaway, WA, where she learned to read from Dr. Seuss and began writing her own stories soon thereafter. She is the author of THE FARWALKER'S QUEST and its sequel, THE TIMEKEEPER'S MOON, both from Bloomsbury; THE HUMMING OF NUMBERS and REALITY LEAK from Holt; and two picture books, including the recipient of a 2001 Henry Bergh Honor from the ASPCA.

Joni lives near the knees of Mt. Rainier in Washington with two dogs and a variety of elk, raccoons, and easily annoyed brown squirrels.
