Bio:

Hello, my name is Sharon Vargo. I am the illustrator of numerous books for children and author/illustrator of, Señor Felipe's Alphabet Adventure, a Bank Street Best Children's Book of 2002. My paintings have appeared in children’s books, magazines, textbooks, as murals, limited edition prints, and are in private and museum collections.

In addition to my creative work, I enjoy interacting with other artists and writers. I am an active member of the SCBWI and currently serve as Indiana's Illustrator Coordinator. I am also a member of the Picture Book Artists Association, PBAA, an organization of professional children's book illustrators from around the world. I am currently a freelance artist and writer, teaching part-time, and leading workshops for both children and adults.
