Bio:

Tanya Seale is a native West Texan, who now lives in the Midwest. She likes fast roller coasters, spicy tex-mex, cheap jewelry, and people with a wicked sense of humor. Oh, and Flair felt tip pens. She likes those too.

Tanya graduated magna cum laude from Webster University with a BA in Creative Writing, minoring in both Screenwriting and Theatre.

Her one-act play, CAFÉ DEUX PARFAITS, was produced in 2008 at Surfacing: An Emerging Playwrights Festival in St. Louis, as well as at Theatre Southwest’s 11th Annual Festival of Originals in San Antonio, Texas, 2008.

Tanya’s fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have been published in Highlights for Children, Spider, Humpty Dumpty’s Magazine, Guideposts for Kids, Hopscotch for Girls, Fun For Kidz, and others.

She tutors kids who like to read and write as well as those who want to like to read and write, and teaches writing classes for elementary- and middle-school-aged students in the St. Louis area. She also serves on the board of directors for the Kaitlin Harris Foundation, and is a member of Dramatists Guild of America.
