Bio:

Gwen has drawn pictures all her life. There was never a time that she did not like to sit down and draw pictures. Most of her pictures were drawn very lightly, in pencil, in case she made a mistake and had to erase something. Since then she has gotten bolder and bolder with her choices of color and pressure of her pencil. She has drawn many people's portraits, mostly of children...now she enjoys creating pictures FOR children!

Gwen grew up in a small town in Southeastern MN and has lived in Wisconsin and Kansas since. She currently lives near Topeka with her husband and one of the two boys old enough to live at home.

She is a librarian, so gets to look at lots of picture books and dreams of filling up one of her own with pictures. Her community enjoys seeing the different pictures she paints on the library windows that promote current seasons and children's programs.
