Bio:

Trudi Strain Trueit knew she'd found her life's passion after writing, directing, and acting in her first play in the fourth-grade (she's always had a flair for the dramatic). Trudi has published more than 80 fiction and non-fiction books for children. Her fiction titles include STEALING POPULAR (Aladdin), the SECRETS OF A LAB RAT series (Aladdin) and the JULEP O'TOOLE series (Dutton) for middle grade readers. Her nonfiction work is wide-ranging, covering topics from weather to holidays, health to history, for publishers such as Scholastic, Marshall Cavendish, and The Child's World. Trueit was born and raised in Seattle, WA and still lives there with her best friend/husband, Bill. She holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.
