Bio:

In 1993, Alicia M. Schwab acquired a BFA, with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. From there, she co-founded and co-owned the graphic design company, with a German partner in Hannover, Germany for three years. It was here that she began to develop her passion for illustration.

Upon her return to the States, Alicia worked as a graphic designer and illustrator at various design firms in the Twin Cities metro until 2000. Since then, Alicia works from her studio illustrating for the Children's and Editorial markets.

In 2009, her illustrations were published in the book, "Great Group Skits: 50 Character-Building Scenarios for Teens", by Lynn Grasberg and Gina Oldenburg, Search Institute Press. Today, when not illustrating, Alicia writes, volunteers as the MNSCBWI Illustrator Coordinator and speaks at schools about her work.
