Bio:

My Dog Tales series of five non-fiction books for the middle grade reader was published by Chelsea Clubhouse in 2007. The book titles are: Distinguished Dogs, Helping Dogs, Hunting and Herding Dogs, Police Dogs,and Search and Rescue Dogs. My book, Managing Responsibilities (Oct. 2009),is part of Chelsea House's Character Education series for teens. I am excited to say that my newest book, Rachel Carson, a biography of the acclaimed marine biologist and award winning author, was just published by Chelsea House in March 2011.
My stories have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul 2, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk Tough Times. Chicken Soup for the Soul: Love Stories, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living Catholic Faith, and Chicken Soup for the Soul: A Book of Miracles.
In addition to my writing for children and teens, I work as a freelance journalist, specializing in family and health topics. I have more the 100 published articles.
I hold a BA in psychology and an MA in writing from Manhattanville College.
