Bio:

Amy Laughlin was born in Flint, Michigan in her parents' '57 Buick on the way to the hospital. She's been showing up in surprising places ever since. She has been a waitress, computer engineer, lawyer, and lots of other things. Seven years ago, she started writing regularly and recently finished her first middle-grade novel, IRIS SEASON. Her favorite place to travel is Mexico, or anywhere there are nice people, which is everywhere. She has her MFA in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University in Minnesota. She lives in California with her two boys, which is just the right number, and two dogs, which is two too many.
