Bio:

I’ve been an active member of SCBWI since my graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Art in 2003. I write, edit and consult on projects for children on a freelance basis and have worked on several retellings of classic stories published by Frederic Thomas, Inc.

In 2006, I won SCBWI-WI’s Marsha Dunlap Scholarship for one of my book manuscripts. That same year, I also received a scholarship from the Highlights Foundation to attend the Writers Workshop at Chautauqua and received an honorable mention in the Smart Writers’ Write It Now! competition for another picture book manuscript.
