Bio:

Joyce Hesselberth is an illustrator and creative director at Spur Design, which she co-founded with her husband David Plunkert in 1995. Spur Design is located in a renovated factory building in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore.

Hesselberth's editorial illustrations have appeared in national publications including: Business Week, Newsweek, Reader's Digest, The New York Times, Time, and The Wall Street Journal. Her illustrations have been featured in articles by Print and Step-By-Step Graphics and have been recognized by American Illustration, Print, Society of Publication Design, The New York Art Directors’ Club, and the Society of Illustrators.

Her first illustrated children's book, published by Skinner House, will be available in Summer 2010.
