Bio:

Award winning poet, motivational speaker, and children’s book author, Darren Sardelli, makes poetry fun and exciting for everyone. His poems are featured in 12 children’s books in the U.S. and England, and 10 textbooks (worldwide). He chooses topics that children relate to and understands how to get them excited about poetry. Since 2004, Darren has visited more than 350 elementary and middle schools (in 7 states). His program, The Funniest Poet in School, has become a Top 10 School Program on Long Island. During a visit, Darren performs his funny poems for the audience, talks about the importance of writing down ideas, and shows students how to bring their words to life. By talking about his success as a poet, he demonstrates what can be accomplished by hard work and dedication. Darren’s assemblies and writing workshops are highly interactive, entertaining, inspirational, educational, and fun! (Grades K-8)
