Bio:

Rachelle Burk has published fiction, nonfiction and poetry for children. She is the author of the illustrated picture book, TREE HOUSE IN A STORM (2009). Two more picture books--DON'T TURN THE PAGE and A GOOD SIGN FOR ALICE--and a chapter book--THE TOOTH FAIRY TRAP--will be released in 2013 and 2014.

She a regular freelancer for Scholastic Science World classroom magazine. Her work has also been featured in Highlights Magazine, Scholastic Scholastic Scope, Pockets, Birds and Blooms Magazine, and other children's publications.

Rachelle is available for dynamic, fun SCHOOL AUTHOR VISIT programs and workshops, and provides CRITIQUE AND EDITING services to other children's writers.

Other interests: As a children's entertainer, she is known as Tickles the Clown and Mother Goof Storyteller. Rachelle is also a social worker.
