Bio:

I probably missed my calling with art and graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana. I went on to teach children of many ages where I began a HUGE collection of picture books.

My love of reading, writing and drawing while working with children pushed me towards the world of SCBWI. I have been a Network Representative since 2004.

After an 11 year hiatus from actively painting(we'll call it having 3 kids of my own) I have finally gotten my act together and am pursuing a professional career as a children's writer and illustrator.
