Bio:

Marta Magellan writes nonfiction books and articles for children. She is a Creative Writing and Survey of Children's Literature professor at Miami Dade College in Florida. A tireless nature lover, she travels into the wilderness whenever possible to photograph and watch the animals. She has trekked through the Galapagos, the Amazon jungle, and several Central American rain forests. She also enjoys writing about others whose careers take them into wild and wonderful places.
