Bio:

I'm the author of THE WRITING & CRITIQUE GROUP SURVIVAL GUIDE, coming from Writer's Digest in January, 2010. I'm available for speaking about critique groups and revision at writing conference, clubs, and schools.

I have several fiction projects I'm working on for children and teens. The first is a historical novel set in 1912 Chicago. I'm also working on my first picture book, and I have a completed middle-grade mystery novel set in Santa Cruz, California.

I've also written nonfiction for kids and would like to do more. I co-authored (with retired police detective Lee Lofland) The Everything Kids Grow Up to Be a Police Officer Book for Adams Media (unpublished due to economic reasons), and I wrote Cool Cash Adventures, a guide to finance for middle-school students. I'm currently working on samples for early science books and biographies for children and teens.
