Francine Puckly joined SCBWI and the Holliston, MA critique group in 2004 after a long and frustrating search for “her people”. Grateful for finding a supportive writing community, she immediately jumped into co-directing the 2007 and 2008 SCBWI New England conferences and joined on as ARA at the beginning of 2009.
When not experiencing writer’s butt, Francine enjoys taking long walks on rural roads, gardening, baking cakes, playing various musical instruments, and reading. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, two children and two mischievous feline writing partners.
Her publishing credits include more than 50 humor essays which have appeared in numerous regional magazines and newspapers. She is currently at work on her second YA manuscript.
