Bio:

I am a writer (unpublished but working very hard to change that!), specializing in children's poetry and middle grade novels. I have loved writing creatively since I could hold a pencil! (At age six, I sat down at my kitchen table and wrote my first poem on a 3x3 inch scrap of paper!) After graduating from Boston College in 1992 with a degree in English, I went on to earn my teaching certification in high school English and a master's degree in communication disorders. Apart from writing as much as possible, I am also a wife and mother (and by default: taxi driver, cook, counselor, housekeeper, tutor & dog-walker) and a speech-language therapist. My favorite places to be (apart from near the ocean!) are bookstores and libraries.
