Bio:

Like so many of us, I am a teacher by trade, a writer by heart. I had my first writing pat on the back when I was nominated for the Sue Alexander back in '06 (or was it '05?). My first (I say first because I have to believe there will be a second!) publication happened in '09; a short story in Stories for Children Magazine. This was crazy, because my writing passion is slightly strange or edgy young adult! Then I was selected as a Sue Alexander Honorable Mention at the '09 conference for my manuscript, Consequence, a kind of freaky dystopian teen novel. I keep telling myself, "Baby steps, Tiff, baby steps!" as I revise my third and plug away at my fourth novel. A huge thanks to the SCBWI for getting me this far!
