Bio:

I'm pretending to be a giraffe right now, but really I'm an illustrator. Driven by color and textures, and inspired by the "Eric Carle technique" I tend to work with cut tissue paper. Some images are scanned into my computer to receive a kiss from digital retouching. I believe the simplest shapes lead to the most graphic impact, especially when they are paired with brilliant color and texture. Though I'm inspired by lots of picture book artist heroes include Eric Carle, Leo Lionni, Liz Murphy, Kate Endle, and Melissa Sweet.

I work as a Graphic Designer & professional crafter for Pepperell Braiding Company. We produced a How-To book with Design Originals & Fox Chapel Publishing call Parachute Cord Craft: Quick and Simple Instructions for 22 Cool Projects, December 2012. I currently reside in NH with my family, two cats (Me-Mo and Ché-Min) and mini Sago Palm named "Palmy IV".
