Bio:

I am an author and poet, writing for children, teens and adults. My cycle of three Young Adult novels will be published by Meadowside Books in 2011 and 2012. The first title, HIDDEN,(March 2011) is about two teenagers who find an illegal immigrant washed up on the beach and hide him to save him from being deported. The novels are set on Hayling Island off the south coast of England.
I have been a member of SCWBI for six years and have run workshops on the British Winchester Conference. I have also held Masterclasses and a Writer's Surgery for SCWBI. I organised the 2010 Agents' party in London.I was Convenor of North London SCBWI critique group for Y.A. fiction for four years.
I am a member of the Society of Authors and a member of English PEN,(literature and human rights.)I run workshops on PEN's programme for refugee writers.I also run creative writing workshops, mentor developing writers and review manuscripts.
