Bio:

An ex marketing and communications director, now "living the dream".

Nicky has written for as long as she can remember - writing her first play at the age of eight - and charging the neighbourhood kids 5c to watch it.

She describes herself as "pre-published" and writes fiction for Young Adults. With guidance from the Cornerstones Literary Consultancy in London, she completed a YA paranormal/gothic horror. She has also recently finished a YA pyschological drama set in the magical realism genre, which explores the concept of death. She is currently working on a space/romance/dystopian novel for Young Adults. And... there is a plan to return to a midgrade fantasy written several years ago.

Nicky occasionally consults on marketing and communications strategy and is published as a non-fiction freelance writer and photographer (newspapers and magazines) - with a particular interest in travel writing and conservation.

Nicky runs the online critique groups (E-Critique) for the British Isles chapter of SCBWI and leads a YA critique group.

She is an active blogger, regularly interviewing authors, featuring topics on writing, and providing sneak views into the writing spaces of authors.
