Carolyn Mulford divides her time between writing nonfiction and fiction in Columbia, Missouri. The Missouri Center for the Book chose The Feedsack Dress, her middle-reader novel, as Missouri’s recommended read at the 2009 National Book Festival sponsored by the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. After working as a magazine editor in Vienna, Austria, and Washington, D.C., she opened her own editorial business. She has written thousands of articles and miscellaneous other materials and provided writing, editing, and training services to such clients as the Library of Congress, American Red Cross, and National Institutes of Health. Her books include Adventure Vacations in Five Mid-Atlantic States, and Elizabeth Dole, Public Servant. She gives readings and talks related to her novel and presents workshops on nonfiction writing.
