Sheri Perl-Oshins

Bio:

Sheri Perl-Oshins is the Assistant Regional Advisor for the NJ chapter of SCBWI. When her 16-year teaching career came to an end, Sheri decided it was time to pursue her dream of becoming a published children’s book author. First order of business; join NJ SCBWI. There, she met Kathy Temean, Leeza Hernandez, and many other fellow writers and illustrators. Wanting to join a writer’s group but unable to find one that met her needs; she took Kathy’s advice and founded the Hunterdon County Children’s Writers and Illustrators Group, affectionately known as HCCyWIG, in 2007. Sheri aspires to write provocative young adult and middle grade novels that challenge the way they view their world and capture the world of possibilities. Her debut nonfiction book for 5 - 8 graders, THE ECONOMICS OF A ROCK CONCERT, is set to come out in 2013.
