Keith grew up in a wetly wild island nation where the North Wind rattles one’s windows with a violence suggesting they might erupt into the parlor directly, disrupting tea and possibly bashing in Aunt Agatha’s head.
In the shadow of a craggy castle, Keith was educated in an old and haunted place with turrets and grimly cloaked teachers and stuff. There he learned to love all things ancient, dusty and a bit ghastly.
When he wasn’t reading, he was drawing and always planned to attend art school, but somehow or other wound up graduating from Edinburgh University with a Masters in art history.
Colorful events led Keith to a sunnier life in California, where, when one’s windows rattle, it’s not because of the wind. There, for many years his creative efforts have been applied to a career in interior design. But on realizing this was less about drawing, and more about psychiatry, he decided to use some recession downtime to pick up the pencil, and return to his first and greatest love; creating art and stories for kids.
