Caroline Pignat

Bio:

Caroline Pignat is a Governor General Award winning author of four young adult novels. Greener Grass the first in the series won the Governor General's Award in 2009. Hailed as "historical fiction at its best" by Canadian Children's Book News, Caroline's historical fiction novels have been shortlisted for numerous awards including two Geoffrey Bilson Awards and the 2009 CLA Book of the Year. Egghead, her contemporary fiction won the 2009 Red Maple Honour Book and was a finalist for numerous awards including the 2009 CLA Young Adult Book of the Year.

Caroline’s articles, poetry and fiction appear in numerous magazines, including Highlights for Children, Clubhouse, Living Faith for Kids, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and local and national newspapers.

Born in Ireland and raised in Ottawa, Caroline calls both home. She writes and teaches where she currently lives with her family in Kanata, Ontario.
