Bio:

I have always been on the path of an artist, but fine tuning my goals has been a journey. I have my heart set on illustrating (and writing) children's books, and Lord willing, I'll get there.

My background includes education at Atlanta College of Art and Kennesaw State University, teaching art to high-schoolers in Canton, GA, living in Brooklyn, NY to attend SVA's continuing education children's book courses, a mother of one (so far), a wife, and art directing for our family web development business. (We are currently developing our first book app for Author/illustrator, Monica Wellington!)

I've been a part of a local writing critique group for the past 2 years, and found that writing stories about what I’d like to illustrate gets me excited to do both and brings another level of deepness and devotion to my work.

I look forward to attending a national SCBWI conference in the next year or so. I’m still growing and learning and I owe so much of that to my local critique group and my regional SCBWI chapter- Southern Breeze, who keeps me encouraged, working, and challenged alongside my normal life.

I want to be a part of something bigger than myself, something really big! So I persevere!
