Bio:

I recently have published my first books! They are first grade level biographies of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Eleanor Roosevelt (those are the titles, too!), through State Standard Publishing.

Coming summer 2012, I have a series of biographies on Georgia women who have made a signigicant contribution to our state. I can't wait to see them in print! I even was able to meet my only living subject, Rosalynn Carter. What an honor! The other fine women in the series are Coretta Scott King, Martha Berry, Lugenia Burns Hope, Jackie Cochran and Juliette Gordon Low. This has been a fascinating adventure, combining some of my passions - history, research, writing.

Teaching 4th graders keeps me on my toes and sparks my imagination daily. There's always a story brewing in my brain. My family keeps me grounded and busy, but I work on a novel whenever I have free time.
