Bio:

Erin Brown Conroy is a professional writer, instructor, and coach who has authored five books (including 20 Secrets to Success with Your Child, "My Kid is Driving Me Crazy! 14 Realistic Expectations that Make Parenting Easier, 40 Days to Balanced Parenting, and Miracle in the City of Angels) and numerous materials regarding mastery education, parenting, and healthy living-- including her new book, Simplified Writing 101: Secrets for College Writing Success.

Before teaching for Patrick Henry College as online Professor of Writing Composition and Research, Professor Brown Conroy taught research and composition for nine years with Cornerstone University's Professional and Graduate Studies Division, both on line and in the classroom for associates, bachelors, and masters students. She also taught leadership and management; organizational development; motivational theory and practice; individual and group behavior; and health and wellness. Before instructing at Cornerstone and PHC, Professor Brown Conroy worked for the Department of Veteran Affairs teaching individual clients in rehabilitation, writing educational material, and supervising individual veteran programs.

In addition to creating reading and writing curricula, Professor Brown Conroy continues to write both non-fiction and fiction books and is a member of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the American Christian Fiction Writers Association (ACFW), and Romance Writers of America (RWA). She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and speaks nationally regarding parenting, homeschooling, and women's health (see www.erinbrownconroy.com).

Professor Brown Conroy’s Complete Mastery Reading and Spelling Program™—a -multi-sensory reading program for children, created by Professor Brown Conroy— has been in development since 1996 and is currently in publication. The series includes children's chapter books and readers.

Professor Brown Conroy has been quoted in print publications such as Parents and Parenting magazines; the Chicago Tribune and Dallas Morning News; and web sites such as geoparent.com, iparenting.com, and familyresource.com. For many years, Professor Brown Conroy served as a coach to families, counseling for respectful child behavior management and close family relationships.

Professor Brown Conroy and her husband, Shawn, are parents of thirteen children and live in Michigan, where they homeschool their five children still living at home.
