Bio:

I have two picture books under contract with Schwartz & Wade. SOPHIE'S SQUASH will be released Aug. 6, 2013 and is being illustrated by Anne Wilsdorf. SHARING THE BREAD, which will be released in fall 2015, is being illustrated by Jill McElmurry. THE QUICKEST KID IN CLARKSVILLE is also under contract with Chronicle Books.

When I'm not writing for kids, I work in corporate communications where I write and edit publications for employees and manage internal social media. I've previously worked as a newspaper reporter.

I've received letters of merit in the 2008 and 2009 Barbara Karlin Grant competition for unpublished picture book writers.
I've also sold articles to Highlights magazine.
